“The Historic ship in the Bay at Glenelg” The HMS Buffalo which is moored in the Patawolonga in Glenelg is an exact replica of the vessel that brought free settlers to South Australia in 1836. All passengers are cordially invited by the Captain to enjoy their Nautical Experience by touring the vessel after dining. To the ‘Fore of the ship’ on the Main Deck is the Foc’stle which can accommodate up to 30 passengers for private dining or meetings. Up the companion way to the aft is the great ‘Captain’s Cabin’ accommodating 35-50 people for private dining or meetings. Also for a romantic evening enjoy the ambience of one of our private cabins. The open upper deck is glorious in fine weather and can host Cocktail Parties for up to 100 passengers with its private bar. The upper deck is also available for wedding ceremonies. To the fore of the Main Deck is the ship’s Museum. (Take the opportunity to look in on the Widow Bacon) Enjoy the rich timbers, the creaking decks, the stout masts, the seasoned rigging and the fearsome cannons on the upper deck. |
